Meta has announced an updated account system designed to streamline sign-in and management across its ecosystem, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Meta AI glasses, and more.
The new system aims to simplify the process by allowing users to set up a single password that applies to all accounts within the Meta ecosystem, which can also be protected with Passkeys using fingerprints, face recognition, or device passwords.
Additionally, the Meta Account will provide security recommendations to help users stay up-to-date with multi-factor authentication and login alerts across devices.
The system will roll out over the next year, allowing users to manage settings for multiple apps, including Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Meta Horizon, from a single dashboard.
Users can choose to link all their accounts or keep them separate, and can also add or remove accounts at any time.
