A humpback whale nicknamed Timmy by local media remains stranded off the island of Poel in northern Germany.
The whale, which was first spotted on March 3, is stuck in shallow waters near the mouth of Kirchsee bay.
Rescuers have been trying to guide it back to deeper waters but so far have not been successful.
On Monday morning, the whale briefly swam free as the water level rose in the bay, but two hours later became stuck again.
In the evening, it was seen moving towards the deep channel before resting once more.
