A 10-day ceasefire went into effect in Lebanon on Friday, but violence has persisted with Israeli strikes and Hezbollah claiming its first attack on Tuesday.

Footage on Wednesday showed widespread destruction in parts of southern Lebanon following Israel's invasion to carry out military operations against Hezbollah.

The Israeli military has established a buffer zone stretching around 10 kilometers into Lebanese territory, where homes and infrastructure have been destroyed.

Israel says the demolitions aim to eliminate Hezbollah positions and prevent fighters from operating near the border.

Fighting between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah broke out after the US and Israel launched initial strikes on Iran.
