Iran's Revolutionary Guards released footage showing its forces seizing two vessels in the strait of Hormuz and escorting them to Iranian shores.
The semi-official Tasnim news agency said the two ships attempted 'to exit the strait of Hormuz covertly', according to reports.
White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated that President Donald Trump did not consider the capture of the ships a violation of the US-Iran ceasefire, as the vessels were not American or Israeli.
The incident has raised concerns over tensions in the Middle East, with international observers monitoring the situation closely.
