Anthropic has expanded its AI-powered chatbot Claude's app connectors to include personal apps like Audible, Spotify, Uber, and others. The new connectors allow users to access a wider range of apps directly within their conversations.

The expansion follows the initial support for connecting work-related apps like Microsoft Office apps. With the new connectors, Claude will suggest relevant connected apps in conversations, such as using AllTrails for hike recommendations.

Anthropic emphasizes that user data from connected apps is not used to train its models, and users can disconnect apps at any time. Additionally, there are no paid placements or sponsored answers in conversations with Claude.

Claude will also ask users to verify before taking actions like making a purchase or reservation using a connected app.

The new connectors are available now on all Claude plans, allowing users to browse and add apps through the 'connectors' tab in the 'customize' section of the Claude sidebar.
