A prominent figure in Santa Monica's downtown core, Jeremy Ferguson, was found dead alongside his wife Mandy Zelinka inside their Venice home on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a shooting report at 10:50 a.m. and discovered the couple with fatal gunshot wounds.
Ferguson served as director of operations for Downtown Santa Monica Inc., a nonprofit organization that promotes economic development and community events in the downtown business district.
As news of Ferguson's death spread, his colleagues expressed shock and sadness, remembering him as a 'cherished member' who made a lasting impact through his work.
The investigation into the deaths is ongoing, with authorities considering it a possible murder-suicide.
