Anthropic is asking investors to submit allocations for its latest fundraise, a round expected to be roughly $50 billion, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The company is targeting a valuation of about $900 billion, but given the intense demand from investors, the final valuation may exceed that figure, our sources said.

Some early backers are skipping this round and waiting to potentially cash out during Anthropic's anticipated IPO later this year.

The company announced its annual revenue run rate has surpassed $30 billion, with some sources indicating it is closer to $40 billion.

Anthropic raised its last round in February at a $380 billion valuation, and would more than double its valuation if it reaches the targeted $900 billion mark.
