Microsoft is winding down its Xbox Copilot mobile app and ending development on console. The move follows a reorganization of the Xbox platform team led by new CEO Asha Sharma.

Copilot was initially planned to be brought to current-generation Xbox consoles this year, but Microsoft has reversed those plans.

Sharma stated that Xbox needs to move faster and deepen its connection with the community. As part of this shift, features that don't align with the company's new direction will begin to be retired.

The decision comes after Sharma took over as CEO in February, scrapping the Microsoft Gaming brand and cutting the price of Xbox Game Pass.
